The Lion Park near Johannesburg in Gauteng Province serves as a gateway and introduction, a true window, to the splendours of Africa's Wildlife. It is home to more than 70 lions including white lions and many other carnivores such as cheetahs, wild dogs, brown and spotted hyenas, black leopards and many more. Apart from the larger carnivores a variety of plains game species roam freely in the Lion Park's antelope area.

The Lion Park was established in November 1966. The 208 hectare park embarked on enhancing the predator experience, striving to constantly improve facilities, activities and services to ensure our visitors leave the park with a memorable experience.

Lion Park (3 hours) - LNPK01
Short itinerary:
Pick up from Johannesburg.
Visit baby lions and various other species for photo session.
Feed the Giraffes with food available from shop at baby animal enclosure.
Drive through antelope camp with a visit to the Cheetah and Hyaena enclosures.
Visit the Lion and white Lion enclosures.
Restaurant and shop available in park. 
Duration of tour +- 2½ hours.
R    760-00 per person sharing.
R 1,215-00 single person.


Full Day

Lion Park / Sun City / Pilanesberg National Park Safari (LPSCPIL01)
Short approximate itinerary:
07h00am - departure time from Johannesburg.
08h00am - visit the Lion Park with a photo session with lion cubs and drive through to see the lions and cheetahs in enclosures.
10h00am - a short stopover at a souvenir market on route to Sun City.
11h30am - take a stroll in the beautiful gardens of Sun City complex with its four hotels, gambling halls and man-made water features.
13h00pm - enjoy a lunch at a restaurant in Sun City.
15h00pm - meet the Pilanesberg game ranger at the gate for your sunset game drive in an open safari vehicle.
18h00pm – travel back to Johannesburg.
20h30pm – estimate time of arrival in Johannesburg.
Minimum of two (2) people on tour.
R 2,450-00 per person sharing.
