See key map (E 1). Situated in Gauteng Province.

A replica of Johannesburg dated back to 1890 that has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in South Africa. Built around the shaft of what was once the richest gold mine in the world. An underground mine tour and live demonstration of pouring liquid gold into bullion, traditional tribal and miners' gumboot dances are only some of the attractions. This theme park-cum-living museum surrounded by souvenir shops, restaurants and pubs, recaptures the riotous times of Johannesburg's gold rush era. For the not so faint at heart, there are a few rides on roller-coasters for gentle thrills.
