Depart from Johannesburg or Pretoria. Have a stopover at the largest open souvenir market(s) in South Africa at Hartbeespoortdam, a popular haven for city-dwellers from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The large lake covering 1620 hectares of water offers a lot of water-sport and surrounding activities to nature lovers. Reaching the Pilanesberg Park overnight camp, we book into our accommodation and start a game drive searching for the Big Five. Arriving back at the camp during the afternoon a large swimming pool is awaiting you, or spend time at own leisure at the bar. Dinner will be in the camp restaurant. Accommodation in a luxury chalet with all necessary facilities.

Day 2
Early wake up call and on our way to look for the African animals we came to see. Camera and binoculars in hand we search till breakfast time at about 09h00 at a Pilanesberg Centre inside the park. (Restaurant and souvenir shop). Game drive till about 14h00 and back to the camp where you can spend the afternoon at leisure or take an optional game drive with Pilanesberg Park in an open safari vehicle. If not taking the option, a short game drive will be done to a water drinking hole (lake) to see what animals comes down for a night cap. A barbeque dinner at a campfire tonight, listening to the night sounds of animals around the camp.
