Roundabout Kalahari Gemsbok National Park / Augrabies Falls National Park / Cape Town / Cape Peninsula (15 days) - AUGKAL15 Day 4 Day 8 Day 12 Notes 
Day 1: 08h00 depart from Johannesburg with Africa Explore Tours and Safaris and sleep over at the iron mining town of Olifantshoek en-route to Kalahari Gemsbok National Park. Day 2: Early morning we continue our trip to Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, visiting the prosperous fruit and wine town of Upington situated on the banks of the Gariep River (previously named Orange River), and settle in at Tweerivieren (where two rivers meet) camp, inside Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, where we overnight. If time allows, we take a short game drive in the park. Day 3: Game viewing in Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, in search for the cheetah, gemsbok (oryx) and other animals grazing and hunting in the red sand dunes. Overnight at Tweerivieren Camp.
Day 4: Depart to Augrabies Falls National Park. Arriving, we settle in and take a walk to the Falls. Overnight at Augrabies. Dinner in a restaurant. Day 5: Spend day in Augrabies, game and nature viewing. Day 6: On our way to the town of Springbok, where we will overnight, to break the long journey along the west coast towards Cape Town. Day 7: Cape Town, settle in at a lovely Guest House and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 8: Visit Houtbay (Seal Island), Simons Town (Penguin colony) and the Cape Point (Cape Peninsula Reserve). Day 9: Visit Robben Island and if the weather permits, we go up Table Mountain with the cable car. Day 10: Spend day in Cape Town visiting the Victoria & Albert Waterfront (shopping and just be lazy). Day 11: Visit some wine farms on the wine routes and see Cape Agulhas, the most southern point of Africa. Sleep over at Swellendam, a town with a lot of historical buildings and known for its beauty of architecture.
Day 12: Depart to Oudtshoorn via George.Visit an ostrich farm and crocodile sanctuary. Day 13: Visit the Cango Caves and continue our journey over the beautiful Swartberg Pass towards Karoo National Park (Beaufort West). Day 14: Heading towards Johannesburg and sleep over at the small town of Colesberg. Day 15: Johannesburg - arrival time +- 16h00. 
Notes: Inclusive in cost: Breakfast and dinner. Entrance fees to all activities mentioned in itinerary. Accommodation in park bungalows or family cottage, hotels and guesthouses.
